On the first Thur of each month, Jon Cobert invites a different guest artist to join him onstage for a varied and intersting evening of song. Jon is a five-time Grammy-nominee, keyboard player & record producer; a singer, songwriter and keyboard player who's also recorded and produced with many music industry greats... John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Chapin, Harry Chapin, Pete Seeger, Judy Collins, Chubby Checker, Al Green... the list goes on and on. Tonight, Jon is joined by the multi-talented Andrew Bordeaux. Drew is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician. On occasion, Drew treats us to his electric fiddle, for a unique sound that is truly inspirational. The duo will be performing classic Rock covers as well as originals. The first time Jon & Drew performed together, they became mutual fans as well as good friends. If you missed their previous 12 Grapes performances, now's your chance! Andy Aledort has performed with scores of rock legends... Dickey Betts, the Allman's and the late, great, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Famous for meticulously capturing, note-for-note, the licks and tone of artists like Clapton and Hendrix, Andy Aledort is often tapped for high-profile appearances. When a band needs a player who can recreate the guitar work of Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Freddie King or Johnny Winter, Andy delivers in a big way. Aledort was once sought after by Aerosmith's Joe Perry for an emergency Blues lesson, and has performed as a member of the Dickey Betts and Great Southern band for the last five years, displaying masterful slide guitar work. Aledort also participated in a series of Jimi Hendrix Tribute concerts, including a three-city tour of the west coast with veteran bluesman Buddy Guy. The Swing Band is back... and hotter than ever! 12 Grapes is normally closed on Mondays, but the second Monday of each month we open at 6:00 for dinner and feature this incredible musical experience that has to be seen (and heard) to be believed. Led by dummer Greg Westhoff, who tours both nationally and internationally and is in the band for the hit TV Show "Family Guy", this 18-piece orchestra is made up of world-class musicians who all have impressive resumes, having performed on Broadway and beyond. It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing! And The Westchester Swing Band has got it all. Reservations are recommended.
