Benefit Concert for With Demetri's Help
with Evan Weissblum, The Jays, Jenny Rosen, Josh Elkes , and Katie and Brian Lynch.
With Demetri's Help was founded on June 14th, 2010, in honor of Demetri Demeropoulos. At 18 years of age, Demetri waged a heroic battle against cancer that first attacked his spinal cord, and, later, his brain. For two years Demetri went toe to toe with this terrible disease never allowing the constant physical and mental setbacks to interfere with his positive approach to life. He fought with an amazing spirit that touched all of those who knew him.
With Demetri's Help seeks to carry on Demetri's enduring message: to find the good in every situation, no matter how bad it may seem. With Demetri's Help has two missions: to financially support research into spinal cord and brain cancer, and to assist in the donation of unused medical supplies so that they may be put to good use.
On August 1st, With Demetri's Help will be hosting their 1st fundraiser featuring performers from Demetri's community and circle of close friends.

REAL
with Kristin Hoffmann, and Premik Russell Tubbs
The voice can remind you of Sarah McLachlan or Joni Mitchell in one moment then turn towards the grittiness of Janis Joplin or the rock power of Pat Benetar in the next. But the ability to possess all these facets in one voice makes singer Kristin Hoffmann intrinsically unique. ~ Topcoat Magazine.
Kristin has created her own unique blend of classical and contemporary music. Her song, Song for the Ocean, has be selected as the theme for the Green Lifestyle Film Festival in Los Angeles this March.
Premik Russell Tubbs is an internationally acclaimed composer, arranger, producer and accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has worked with music greats including Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Jackson Brown and others.

Danielle Miraglia , David Goldman , Guitar Wizard Marc Shulman
With her powerful, whiskey-tinged, bluesy voice, Danielle Miraglia's classic rock verve, catchy melodies and eclectic array of song subjects ranging from deeply personal to socially relevant give her music an original twist that is all her own. A fresh sound along with a captivating stage presence is gaining Danielle fans all over the map.
"It's only a matter of time before the rest of the country takes notice." - Performing Songwriter
"Inspirational!" - John Hammond
Where David Goldman?s Summer With Juliet was a smorgasbord of international and American musical idioms, Light In The Tunnel is more rooted in songs strongly influenced by Celtic, Gospel, Blues and Folk traditions; it is David?s deeply personal journey on the wings of a finely woven tapestry of voices and music.
?Few people on this earth were born to sing, but lucky for us, David Goldman is one of them.? -Christine Lavin

Roots Ska and Reggae Live at the BRC
with The Big Takeover, Nee Nee Rushie-vocals, Andy Vogt on trombone, Chas Montrose on saxophone, Sam Tritto on drums, Johnny Klenck on guitar, Rob Kissner on bass
Keeping alive the tradition of roots/ska/reggae realness, the Big Takeover's refreshingly upbeat and original. You?ll find it hard to believe that all the cuts on their Debut CD "Following Too Close" are originals, as they magnificently capture early rocksteady riddims with supertight songwriting. Lead singer Nee Nee Rushie, a native of Jamaica, leads her five bandmates in what is arguably one of the best upstate NY groups in recent memory. The Big Takeover leans hard toward reggae?s more up-tempo parents, ska and rocksteady, and their high energy has audiences jamming from start to finish.

The Ya Yas, Catherine Miles (vocals), Jay Mafale (acoustic guitar), Paul Silverman (piano)
A quirky blend of personalities and musical influences, the Ya Yas have been regulars on the Long Island music scene, performing in coffeehouses and cafes, local festivals, and private concert venues, toured 3 years with Dave Isaacs' country-roots band Jackalope Junction, and now call the Hudson Valley their home, where they are hard at work on their second album.
Seeing these three perform is like spending an evening with them in their living room - inviting, entertaining, and a little goofy. Their songs can range in feel from folk-pop to country-tinged to singer-songwriter-with-groove. What remains constant are well-crafted songs with deceptively simple lyrics about people you feel you might know, people who view themselves and the world with both honesty and compassion.
