The 9th Annual Peekskill Jazz & Blues Festival

There will be dancing in the streets once again as Peekskill presents its 9th Annual Jazz & Blues Festival on Saturday, July 25th, from 3-10pm. This free outdoor concert attracts thousands of music enthusiasts to Peekskill’s historic Arts District, where families come to enjoy food, art, music and fun. The Main Stage, located on N. Division Street at Park & Central, will feature local and nationally touring Jazz & Blues musicians from 4-10pm.
With twelve downtown restaurants to choose from, Peekskill has become a culinary mecca. The event features Craft Beers, Arts & Craft vendors and many family-friendly attractions. This year, the Jazz & Blues Festival proudly features an amazing line-up of Award-winning Jazz & Blues bands:

This year’s 9th Annual Peekskill Jazz and Blues Festival is presented by The Downtown Business Associates (DBA) of Peekskill, sponsored by the Peekskill BID, Entergy and other proud supporters. The Festival is part of the weekly Downtown Summer Music Series, presenting live music and outdoor dining on North Division Street every Saturday & Sunday night throughout the summer.
Peekskill: It’s All Happening Here!
Headliner Slam Allen is a New York Blues Hall of Fame Master Musician Inductee, and for the past eight years, has been lead singer and guitarist in the legendary James Cotton Band. “[Cotton] is one of the last living legends… directly connected to Muddy Waters, a major factor in the Blues world.”
Johnny Feds performed at the 3rd Annual Peekskill Jazz & Blues Festival, and was recently inducted into the 2014 New York Blues Hall of Fame. Johnny is one of the most “passionate and dynamic” guitarists in the Hudson Valley. The Johnny Feds Band includes local favorites, JP Patrick on vocals, blues harp and sax, Chris Burke on keys, “Elmo” John Lawson on bass and Paul Undersinger on drums.
Cocomama is a powerhouse, all-female Latin Jazz orchestra. The group’s members hail from six countries on four continents, and have delivered virtuosic performances at such high-profile places as the United Nations, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, MoMa and many others.
Ray Blue is an award-winning saxophonist. Ray’s music is described as a fusion of straight-ahead Jazz and African groove. He has performed with many notable Jazz musicians, the Cotton Club All Stars, the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band and many more.
The Opening Act for this year’s Festival is The Lagond All-Stars, from the prestigious Lagond School of Music in Elmsford, a group of emerging young musicians performing high-energy, funky Jazz.
